THE DRAGONS ARE LOOSE AND COMING FOR YOU!

Register your Team TODAY!

February 20, 2012 – The Sault Ste. Marie Dragon Boat Festival is gearing up for what is expected to be one of its best years yet. 

This year’s festival takes place on June 9, 2012, and Sault Search & Rescue and the Sault Ste. Marie YMCA have strapped on their lifejackets and with paddles in hand are recruiting and training TEAMS  interested in participating in this year’s event.

Anyone who has the drive to learn, compete, have fun and work as a team is invited to come out and participate. Prior experience is not needed. Teams need to register by April 27, 2012.  If you don’t have a team and want to participate we can find a team for you.

This year’s festival once again includes live entertainment, the Steelworkers Fun Carnival, Face Painting and activities for the whole family. Admission to the festival is by donation.  

To get involved in this year’s festival; we have a variety of opportunities for you:

• Organize a Team – get 20 of your closest friends or colleagues together and paddle!
• Sponsor the Festival – we have a variety of sponsorship opportunities available from our children’s activity zone; Kids Korner to sponsoring a team in the festival and everything in between;
• Volunteer – we need help leading up to and throughout the festival give a call and we will put you to work!
• Other opportunities – provide entertainment, be a vendor, or showcase you art!
