To make your fundraising a little easier, we have provided the following helpful hints:
- Start off by sponsoring yourself $20.00 or more. People will follow with lead.
- Tell people that you are participating in the festival and raising money for the Sault Ste. Marie Family YMCA and the Sault Ste. Marie Search and Rescue.
- Set your own person goal.
- Ask businesses you regularly visit for donations.
- Work together to help your teammates to achieve their goals.
- If you own a business or at your job keep event information on the counter or at the reception desk that lets customers and clients that you are participating.
- Never assume that people will donate. It is important to ask each and everyone you know for a donation.
- Ask last year donors. Let your previous donors know that you are fundraising again.
